This canvas is NOT mounted on stretcher bars (no wood frame in the back, refer to other images).
It may be framed the same way paper is framed (flat, with or without a mat) or it can be stretched prior to framing. If this canvas is stretched on wood bars its size would be a little smaller (a portion of the painting will wrap around the bars resulting in a smaller painting which it will still look fine). The size of this painting would be 12 x 16 approximately if stretched. Also, the signature would be located in the back (if stretched), which is also perfectly normal.
