I am one of their artists and I love it!
All I have to do is upload my work and they take care of everything!
Recently they sent an email asking artists to do a survey for a potential print fulfillment service:
While this sounds like a wonderful idea, it could also be terrible. Why? Well, this could potentially turn into the same model as society6 and similar websites where the only way to sell is if the artists spend hours doing social media promoting their work. In other words, artists become sales people with NO salary for that position (they become slaves). We all know how much time social media consumes. Is that how you want to live your life to make a few cents per print? You are an artist, you should be spending your time creating. All those companies that sell our prints are the ones responsible for doing all the marketing, social media, sales, etc. Don't let them put that load of work on you (for free).
I really hope I am wrong and they won't change their current model, but just in case I am putting this out there to make artists aware.
